Satisfaction for me is easy to achieve and this past Sunday proved it. I was running a bit late to the venue and had hoped to get inside pretty quick but I was wrong. As I made my way through small groups of criticizing old people I spotted two separate lines - a small one to the left and a semi longer one to the right. It wasn't until I turned the corner and crossed the street that I noticed how long that second line was. I believe it ended at the beginning of the parking garage that's located behind The Masquerade. I was lucky enough to spot familiar faces and tag along with them in the upper section of the line. I had my doubts about everyone fitting into the venue but I think almost everyone got in. As usual they claimed the doors opened at 7pm but, of course, to The Masquerade it's a completely different time zone...

Halloween is the time when the Goth mentality becomes mainstream. Well, at least a plastic K-Mart semblance of it. But then there are those rare diamonds in the rough when they get it right. The Orlando Visual Arts League’s “Nightmare at the Ritz Theatre” show was one of those diamonds.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking. It’s a Goth scene report about a theme park attraction. But bear with me. After all, it is a Halloween attraction and I’m going to give a Goth’s eye view. And as it turns out, this particular attraction is better than most I’ve seen.
