Seraphim Shock's "Hollywood Sex 'N Vegas"

After the long wait for this album and listening to it it was worth the wait. The way the album was made it reminds me somewhat of Rob Zombie's solo cds. Music under 1 hour and plenty of great movie samples. Track 1 "Joy Ride to Hell" is a 44 second intro into the album to let you know we are going to hell. Track 11 "Sex Toy" kicks off with "I'll fuck anything that moves" (Pigface anyone?) then hits into hard guitars. This song sounds like what if Lords of Acid added some much needed metal to the mix. Track 5 "Morning Star" is a nice mellow track that shows off Charles' singing voice. It's refreshing to hear music like this with someone who can sing. Track 6 "Welcome to Heaven" will become a great club hit with DJs who are not afraid to go out of the "safe zone" in the current heavy synthpop/electro trend. Track 9 "Halloween Girl" is the great goth song where you can draw the comparison's in sound to Type O Negative. Don't be fooled though. The sound is simliar but S.S. shows there's more talent in this music. 13 Tracks and 43 minutes later it's a hard cd to put down.
